In a unexpected crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
