Around twenty-five thousand households in south-east Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on the start of the week after severe thunderstorms impacted the state, bringing wind gusts hitting 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Frozen Precipitation and Broad Damage
Homeowners observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. Meteorological experts verified that various areas across the state had been affected by large hailstones.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing thunderstorm potential predicted across different parts of both states.

Public health experts alerted that there was an higher risk of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
