I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
