Tehran is willing to reinitiate nuclear discussions with the United States provided that it is treated with "respect" and "honor", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

Abbas Araghchi declared only diplomacy was effective, and disclosed new appeals had originated from intermediaries to resume negotiations with the American leadership. He asserted Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to allow the UN nuclear inspectorate to visit struck enrichment centers for security reasons.

Navigating a Difficult Course

Araghchi is navigating a complex route since Iran does not want be seen to be proceeding from a stance of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had arisen more powerful militarily and emotionally from the Israeli-US attack on its nuclear sites in June.
