Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to products showing incorrect sizing.

This online marketplace has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform all users about the change.

Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.

The company said the revised method more closely matches comparable marketplaces.

They have suggested members to check their listings and manually change the size if necessary, which has left users frustrated.

Sizing System Updates

Earlier, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10.

The new system has an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.

For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

User Accounts

One content creator, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".

"Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.

A different member, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.

"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.

Necessary Adjustments

A different user, located in England, stated she felt frustrated because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizes on "every single listing".

"For me this is particularly frustrating, because of my ongoing medical condition and selling on Vinted has been paramount after experiencing income reduction," she stated.

Marketplace Information

The platform boasts over 100 million members, including 18 million in the UK.

It has proved a popular alternative to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.

This represents another occasion when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the platform withdrew an update concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
