Even though entering their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
