The nation's leader made a trip to meet with Ukrainian forces in the Pokrovsk area on the start of the week. The president confirmed that he met with fighters at the operational headquarters of the first unit of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya zone, a location approximately 20km from Pokrovsk.

Intense Situation in Pokrovsk

Recent mapping from a Ukrainian project indicated that Russian forces had pushed further into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though a large portion remained beyond firm control by both forces. The conditions are severe, with reports indicating that invading units were digging in and building up positions in some districts.

Invading troops are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk direction and appear to be operating with growing ease within the city proper.

Military experts observed that national troops had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk operation.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes Within Russian Territory

Ukrainian long-range drones struck a factory approximately a considerable distance inside the federation at Sterlitamak. City administration reported an explosion at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to suffer damage, adding that the cause of the explosion was unconfirmed. The national defense command stated there was significant destruction to the complex.

National forces said it struck a petroleum facility at the location in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region east of Moscow. The level of destruction was being assessed. The Russian regional governor acknowledged a strike by 20 drones near the refinery.

Russian Security Strategic Shifts

Russian military reservists will now have to guard oil refineries against unmanned assaults after the Russian leader signed a law on the weekday extending their entanglement in the war effort. The Russian ruler also enacted a decree authorizing recruitment continuously whereas earlier it occurred only during limited periods in fall and spring. The President's Requests for Allied Help

The national leader appealed to Washington to remain open to supplying Kyiv with long-range weapons. Speaking at an EU meeting from the eastern front, the national leader also called for more global measures on the federation – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he desired European Union membership by the end of the 2020s.

International Support and Foreign Policy Developments

The federal republic plans to increase defense support to the nation by a substantial amount next year to about €11.5bn, the economic authority in the capital said on the start of the week. This incorporates, among other things, cannons, unmanned aircraft, military transports and the replacement of two Patriot systems.

Nordic ammunition manufacturer Nammo has reached a preliminary agreement with a Ukrainian industrial partner to produce, develop and sell ammunition in Ukraine.
